Box 5 A house sparrow has discovered box 5 and made it home. We discovered a complete nest and 6 eggs. We discussed that house sparrows are non-native birds. We decided since the nest already had eggs we would not dismantle it. The students also decided that next year they would remove the nest before eggs were laid.

This spring students at Mountain View ES worked with their STEM teacher, Ms. Mahood, to decide locations for their new bluebird trail. Thank you to volunteers including Park Ranger Pete Hamel for helping install the six new homes.
